Re: Where did you surf today ?
A little bit of swell started to arrive but not much. Would have called it okay except I took advise from a close relative of mine on the shore break and paddled back out. 25 minutes later I managed to break through the pack of hodads and make it to shore
Must have been out there for 3 hours. Definitely one too many. Cold and windy too.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
2ft/2ft+ semi-wobbly S'ly groundswell but definitely got less wobbly and more cleaner as the morning went on. So glad to shake off the cobwebs after the wave drought we've had up here.
Banks are fecking woeful though with a stormbar way out the back diluting the swell (was 3ft out there) before it hit the very shallow mid bank.
Not a soul in sight after the YC's got out around 7am, so can't complain about that.
Steve, how's the bank situation down your way? Improving?

nope. still diabolical.
this swell was another over-called south swell.
and unbelievably fcukng crowded yesterday......I drove around and checked every spot between Ballina and Broken and didn't get wet.
did the same thing again today.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Agreed on the overcall, err call, minor pulse yesterday of 2 foot odd 3 but that was it. Highly south. Looked far better this morning but no bigger than 3 ft. Trying to hang I there this arvo by the looks. Might get lucky tomorrow morning.

Not by this black duck.....I never rate highly refracted S'ly groundswells north of Byron.steve shearer wrote:this swell was another over-called south swell.
I also think Wednesday's forecast is over called too....what do you think Steve?

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Decided to go across the harbour for a surf to that other land called Warringah >><< >><<
Quite a few surfers were sporting those monk habit style towel come change shed thingys. I wondered if Big Tones has one?
Got bamboozled by the technology involved in feeding the parking meters but luckily one of the parking inspectors filled me in. I'm still not sure if I got a ticket off him or not.

Guys, please remember this thread is open to the public. If you want to post pretty pictures of one another and over-ride the swear filter, take it to the Tangents or Flamers Dungeon.

Open letter to trev
Sorry for my unconscionable conduct (unbecoming of a person of my standing in the community.
I realise now that posting a picture of Reginald could offend millions of emotionally unstable people on the world wide web.
I would also like to apologise for by-passing the swear filter as I arrogantly forgot to facilitate the needs of the mentally underdeveloped and/or infantile.
Please accept my humble apologies.

Yesterday at Flinders
2.3 metre swell rolling in with some bigger bombs, light offshore, incoming tide - damn it was good.
Should've taken the shorter board though in hindsight.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Wasn't on planning on surfing this morning, wasn't supposed to be any good.
So I woke up at 5:30 like I normally do and, as everyone was asleep I took a casual gander at the weather as you do
And it was pretty farken good, small swell but it was still light offshores.
Grabbed my shit, raced down to the beach and got a decent hour of surfing in before the wind swung around from the SW and turned it all too shit.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Really getting depressed about this spring surf. It is exactly as bad as it usually is. I remember resorting to body boarding in some years for half of spring. Its been looking like a possibility this last week or so.
