Still haven't decided on what boards to take.
forecast looks quiet for the start.
You’re heading to the mentz and don’t know what boards to take? Protow? Bonzer? Surely you got plenty. All those boards you gots built for grinding point surf would surely fit.

Fk if I was heading there now I’d be buying suitable boards just for the trip.

Its bullshit the way they freezed you out Steve. Industry fccckn shrills running the joint.
Exactly. Steve has always played an even hand on Realsurf and deserves better.

Enjoy the trip Steve. Just take one random board. It will make everything more authentic.

Watching the pool again. I think I get what they’re aiming at but it just needs to be about 4 foot bigger

Surely a McCoy Nugget is the board of choice. A one board quiver.

Instant respect if it's in Tuflite construction.

Shearer, this happened in your own backyard- whats the go?

You put enough shit on Carroll for not reporting on AI.

With sentence building skills like this, it no wonder he struggled to get published.

To be fair Yuke, I think that was a written quote of Steve’s spoken word, so blame the other journo.

it was part of a 20 minute conversation in which many things were spoken about. I'll try and get a transcript.

Hang on just a minute, since when have we been interested in facts around here.

Our job is to put storms in teacups ... not think laterally, for crying out loud.

for real I'm seriously considering taking this little epoxy popout asymmetrical fish.

It's the most fun board for 1-3ft surf I've ever ridden.

thats just a lame personal attack that's not true Nick.

The very last person I'd expect to shepherd me through a "moral crisis" would be a surf mag editor.

I made contributions, they were rejected. I wrote letters and emails, they went unanswered.

What I had to say , was not required, nor publishable at the time.

Now it is.

This is very far from just my personal opinion.
Mate, you never emailed, called, smoke signalled or messaged me pitching anything over the course of 20 years. Not a chirp.

And what's your point? I'm confused. You can't get published, or you get published too much?

Oh, it must have been everyone else then Sean. Pretty sure I popped a few things in the mail to Tracks.....maybe it was either side of your tenure. Maybe they were just too shit for you to remember. I'd have to go back to the archive.

All good though now thanks mate.

The point: pretty obvious. The landscape, the business model has changed and that allows more room for someone like me who isn't embedded in the mainstream like you and Nick.
That wasn't the case beforehand.
