Kelia is a special case. She has 728 thousand follows on instagram. She gets a lot of additional exposure thru Justin Bieber’s wife being her best friend. She is beautiful and articulate. Very marketable. I can see her getting some new brand relationships.

Definitely, as a "celebrity" influencer or celebrity adjacent influencer.

But she needs to grow up and lose this childish notion that she is some kind of athlete with a market value, or that she is blazing some kind of anti-corporate path for fellow female surfers.

She's beautiful, clever and well connected- Western capitalism will reward that.

Ugh, that was dripping with sincerity, and underpinned by entitlement. The delivery was emotionally manipulative and the piano was the kicker. You can still impart your message effectively without all the bullshit. Probs more effectively.

So, watched that. I’d say they shouldn’t have broken her contract if that’s what happened. Sure offer her a massive pay cut in a year but that’s a breach of contract by the new owners. Whether she’s worth it or not is a different question. Nice lifestyle if you can get it for riding a mal.
