Cold, cold rain, wind, strong wind. 4ft DY on average banks. Glad I did but if I knew what I know now I wouldnt of.
Is the last sentence a Bob Seger reference?
I don't think so. Is it?
The Bob Seger line I was thinking of was "Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then"

Gonna take a stab that is Harley Ingleby.
Bloke can surf. On short boards too.
I don't know but others have probably confirmed it in the later posts. And on second looks. that board is looking more like a longboard than a mini mal.

I've been reading his Insta lately, guys got talent to ride all that craft.
I'm guessing the board he is riding in that shot above is his signature model 9'1 Tolhurst high performance long board.
yep, that's the board.
he was the standout surfer on the East coast (for mine), during that Black NE'er swell last year. Threading impossible barrels in some of the biggest waves ever on the mid to north coast.
all on his 9'1" Tolhurst
I caught up with him a few weeks ago; cool fella who loves the earth.

I'd already read that, didn't realise it was yours. Nice work there Crab meat

speaking of logs ... dusted off mine this morning. There were 100m rights on a beachie near me. all to myself!
it was, as they say in the classics. bliss!
I did completely tear my beloved 2mm SS steamer though ... have to hunt around the traps later today and get another. Can't imagine not having one of those in my wettie quiver!

I reckon Harrison Roach is the best all round surfer on the East Coast atm. Charges as hard as Harley but with way more style

Surfed it for about three hours. Lots of fun. I was pretty stuffed after that but we went to Cloudbreak. Paddled out but it was definitely out of my league. Twenty guys out mainly pros. My son caught a couple but got dropped in on by the pros. Owen Wright was out when we got there. Kelly Slater turned up on a jet ski but didn't go out.

Here is Harry getting a sick one. He has been tearing it up in Indo the past month on a variety of craft..

Beanie, modest to a fault.
Next thing we'll probably hear is that he's been given a wild card into the next round based on today's performance. He'll be easy to pick, just look for the guy siting deep and riding a surftech mal

Trouble was also the pros made it look like a fun wave you could chuck a few big turns on. Funny there was another old codger out there on the same coloured board as me. Neither of us caught anything. Mal rider went out. That's optimistic. They told him he'd have to pay for the mal if he broke it.
Namotu was heaps of fun. It's a bit like Green Island. Most of the punters sat too far up so my son and I shared the prime spot for an hour before anyone worked it out. Might go out again in the next couple of days.

Nadi. Have been at a good cheap and cheerful but two days at the Sofitel for the wedding. Back to the other one tomorrow. Sofitel sucks. Did a charter with Fiji Surf. Got an okay board. Boat ride out was lots of fun. Good operation.
