It was howling onshore on the late. And cold as well. I tripped over my leggy in the water while walking back to shore.
Yeah?
I got out at 4:30.

Sandon point then (drumroll) ...... Bondi !
Just got in actually. Maroubra had the top half of the beach taken over by a surfing NSW event. So went to surf Bondi for the first time in years. 3-4 foot backwashing garbage. Surfed the right reef/sand bank just next to icebergs, and also a fraction further up from it. Had the bank with one or two others. Got about eight waves, managed to wind up some speed on a walling one and put in a cutback. Rest of it was pretty garbage. It still takes the cake as the worst beach in Sydney. Cops south swell and it all goes to complete waste

......and how was Sandon Point.
Rip was funny....it was dragging you north for a change.
Definitely too bumpy and a bit big for the little bank that's been working.
Only swung around to the ENE a while ago. You should have stayed at The Bra.

Shoulder high, fairly sloppy and weak, but semi tolerable. Uncrowded

Up on the central coast, wind makes all a bit uninspiring.

The bank I was surfing was. I'm 5'10 and the sets were certainly overhead. Perhaps you were tucked up in the pussy corner up the other end of the beach. Swellnet also called 3-4 foot (6-8 foot faces). You're either nine foot tall or nine beers in

Go get your brain checked out. South facing beaches were overhead today. If you disbelieve it then I can't help you. Not that I'd want to either.
