Yeah she did.
She's really good at finding little gaps in the crowd on a point break.

You win some, lose some out there.
My first surf there, big out of season spring swell with big sweep.
No one could sit at snapper.
I got out in front of the rainbow surf club on the first paddle out. Found myself in some space for a primo set wave. Caught it all the way to just shy of the big groyne at Kirra and thought ‘how good’s this? Not that hard to get a wave at the superbank”.
Did a lap, got out same spot, couldn’t get a wave amongst the crowd and drifted right down to Kirra and just took off on big chunky, mainly close outs for the rest of my sesh.

Taking a few days off.
My knee with osteoarthritis is getting gradually worse. The last couple of days I've been almost immobile.
Pain is seriously intense.
I've continued surfing because, no pain in the surf, even when riding a wave.
I've started to wonder if, despite the lack of pain I am actually aggravating it by surfing.
So I'll give it a week and see how it goes. Also got a proper knee brace on loan from a mate which seems to be helping.
On another note health wise I had this swelling in my cheek a few weeks ago, just in front of the ear. Doc gave me some antibiotics and it went away but he could still see a small swelling and sent me for an ultrasound.
Probably the parotid gland but he wanted to be sure there was nothing nasty brewing in there.
Having lost a mate last year to a brain tumour I've been pretty worried. Anyway, all clear and nothing untoward.

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
That’s good, Trev. I had an Ultrasound on Tuesday. Should have an operation in two to three weeks for my hernia.
I’ve still been surfing but take it pretty easy and wearing a wetsuit seems to help. It hasn’t been hurting much lately but it’s getting bigger.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
David is me, Paul is a Bali mate, this happened about two hours ago at Impossibles:
[16/5, 5:14 pm] Paul Bali: Just had the most full-on experience
[16/5, 5:15 pm] David: Tell me more!
[16/5, 5:16 pm] Paul Bali: You know the stairs that go up the cliff to Anantara (not the old lift)?
[16/5, 5:16 pm] Paul Bali: Where they'vr got the earthmoving equipment working
[16/5, 5:18 pm] Paul Bali: After a surf just then I decided to go and check it out
[16/5, 5:18 pm] David: I've been warning people to watch out
[16/5, 5:19 pm] Paul Bali: So I climbed up the stairs to the top pool area at Anantara and was talking to the security guy there...
[16/5, 5:20 pm] Paul Bali: *2 MINUTES LATER THE WHOLE STAIRCASE PLUNGED INTO THE OCEAN!!*
[16/5, 5:21 pm] Paul Bali: Tremendous roar and it took all the trees around it collapsed into the sea below
[16/5, 5:21 pm] Paul Bali: 2 minutes mate
[16/5, 5:21 pm] David: Holy sheeeit
[16/5, 5:23 pm] David: Hang on.... you were on the stairs and would have probably died!
[16/5, 5:47 pm] Paul Bali: I'd just got to the top
[16/5, 5:48 pm] Paul Bali: If I was 2 minutes later I would have gone down with the stairs
[16/5, 6:07 pm] David: Well that'll be a good chapter in your book!
[16/5, 6:08 pm] Paul Bali: Check it out tomorrow. Anantara must be furious (and panicking)
Me:
Cliff is about 100 feet high
I'll check it out tomorrow!
As I said, I've been warning people to stay away because of falling rocks, didn't think the whole set of stairs would go.
Typical Balinese safety precautions... none at all!

Re: Where did you surf today ?
That’s insane. I thought it was just some stairs. Not the whole cliff face.

Got some rhythm back in some mediocre surf yesty.
Then it was proper pumping this morning.
No crowd until the last hour and then still not bad. Surfed 3 hours. Bit of a wait for sets at times.
