Just starting to get back some form on my 7' and 7'6 after riding an 8'6 around Perth. A couple of waves every fortnight is a disaster skill wise.

I certainly wasn't trying to take one of the double overhead ones though. They did clear the water, there was only three of us out for a while.

Ulus is a bit of a mess. Head and a half size swell, 20 out at racetrack, only 1 or 2 chancing the other breaks.

Only head high where I surfed but two 8 wave sets at near double that at about 9:30am cleared the water for a while.

Water quality? Who knows, it always looks OK except when it rains heavily for a few days.
The Bukit always seems pretty good to very good. Other breaks are a problem.
I think I wrote about my mate swallowing some foam after coming up for air after a wipeout at Balian and having to get flown back to Australia. Developed an abscess in his throat that burst. He was on a drip for a couple of weeks.

Fcuk, another off those sets, 5 surfers out over a kilometre, none caught or paddled for. Back to chest high, perfect conditions

Surfed the local.
NE was starting to blow but fun little peak to myself as everyone had already come in.
Family of whales past 50m from me.
Few dolphins.
Lifesaving drone came and hung out a few times then they sent someone to wave me in.
But there was no whistle or alarm.
Caught a few more and came in.
She said there was a couple bullies feeding 5-10m off the back of the bank I was surfing.
I said thanks, no worries, they were probably there last week when there were no lifesavers too.

Yikes, Buddy.
Got a few good ones this morning before the bottom dropped out of the bank as the tide dropped. Surprised myself by how many I nabbedconsidering the crowd. Long Weekend appears to have come early.

It all seemed pretty laid back.
Like, the drone hung out, went and watched the whales, came back.
Didn’t make any signals.
And then she cruised up from the other end of the beach and waved me in.
No whistle or anything.
I didn’t know she was a lifesaver at first and thought she thought I was her kid or something and time to finish the surf.
Only reason I saw her was there was a north-south sweep and I was checking my landmarks.

Friends in Kuta asked for a surf report. After a quick check here's what I sent:

Perfect conditions, 40 out, everyone sitting waiting for head high waves. Nearly double overhead set arrived, western break guys were caught about 30m inside, eastern guys about 60m

Went down for a swim at Bronte. Absolutely belting in. Almost doing it on the reef but the shorebreak was brutal.

Northern beaches. Found a bank that wasn't straight. Fun peaky barrels held up by the strong offshore.

Had a bash this morning. Size had dropped so there was the odd non closeout. Still a bit big for the banks and a bit straight.
Just got back from a swim. Absolutely packed to the rafters. Some hot looking women down there.

Looking like some tasty NE swell coming tomorrow. I've got a spot in mind for the early that loves a low tide, North wind and chunky NE swell combo

Miraculously got two good ones today. Crazy crowded. Lots of rescues with all the tourists.
