6.5.5 x 20 x 2.75 round/rounded-pin, poly/epoxy and glassed strong as a muthafker
Thickly foiled from nose to tail, and as you can see, it’s a pretty contemporary planshape.
Mega boxy rails (great for fatter waves) and can still be put on rail in bowls (as shown below)
Subtle bottom contours, slight vee on entry, slight double concave, to slight vee out the tail.
Surfs equally well as a quad or a thruster, and paddles and catches waves like the boss it is.
Very well-rounded board that performs well in a variety of conditions.
Have surfed it in knee high to almost double overhead and it goes!
A much better all-round option than fish or mini simmons type board.
Small windswells to grunt overhead groundswells, clean, mush, whatever.
This thing ‘brings tha noise all year long’!.
Some Realsurf trivia on this board for the uninitiated.
It was shaped by our very own Ric Vidal.
It was also the same board involved in the “Famous Dee Why Drop-In”, that years later, in part, caused another RS member to have a total meltdown on here and Go Ballistic on Me and Everybody else on RS after bottling up his anguish for so long. All via the keyboard of course.
