Boards For Sale - Collection of Various Offers

Post by sir_fur71 » Mon Jun 17, 2013 4:43 pm

I've had a half assed hunt around the forums for a For Sale thread but couldn't see one so I have taken it upon myself (and self interest) to start one. I have a bunch of old boards for sale -

Element 5'5 x 16 5/8 x 2 green and yellow spray - water tight and in pretty good condition. No fins - only $35

HB 6'5 x 18 3/4 x 2 3/8 clear. Needs in plugs and a few repairs. Has lots of fixed dings but could get back in the water - only $20

Keyo mini mal 7'6 x 21 x 2 3/4. Old age brown with original wax job. Plenty of onion dings and dents but still has life in it. only $60.

Aloha 6'3 x 20 x 2 3/4. 1980s special! Needs work to get it back in the water. Delam decal on the bottom and lots of doings. Only $20

JL Design 6'3 x 17 3/4 x 2 1/4. Funky semi gun shape. Dings on the rails and a bit rough. Only $20

Adrenilin 6'8 x 20 x 2 3/4. Needs a few minor repairs but still in reasonable condition. Blue underneath. Only $40

Chlli 6'5 x 18 1/2 x 2 1/2. clear. Home fixed dings on the tail and bottom. Bubble in the deck but still water tight. Ready to surf. Only $50

Check out the ad on Gumtree for pics etc - http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/north-na ... 1021789379

If you are interested in any or just want to add your two cents feel free to get in touch.

If you have stuff to sell jump in and ride on this thread, lets clear out the garage and fill up someone elses...

6'0" x 19 1/2" x 2 1/2" Quadfather

Quite a few years old now, some fixed dings and depressions but still overall in good and fully surfable condition.

McKee quad set-up, subte single to double, rounded pin, pretty stock standard shortboard with McKee fin placement.

Selling because I'm now a full 10kg heavier than when I bought it and I'm sinking on it. If I loose too much more weight to fit back into the board I'll be too skinny and cold for winter.

Sydney pick-up, $250.

Touch small for me, touch short for my little bro.

If you overshoot and get one that suits someone about 75kgs, let me know!

No surfboards for sale but I've got a set of Independent 139 skateboard trucks I'd like to trade for a set of 159s or a similar width in another brand.

ive had back probs on and off since late teens...building industry will do that to ya. but the last couple of yrs, all the bulging and herniated disc probs of the past are becoming a real problem. ive got something farked up between my shoulder blades and i get pins and needles down the outside of my arm into my fingers. its not as bad now, but tilting my head back for to long seems to aggravate it. i need to get an mri, but cant afford it, and besides, i pretty much know what they will say. my last day of surfing was really good, and i kinda figure maybe i should bow out now with good memories. i do want to surf again, but i cant risk completly farking myself up and missing work. my mortgage is massive. no work = no pay = sell the house.
on the boards, i dunno how they make money selling for 400. ive been told it costs 350 to make a board. thats 50 bucks profit. depends on how many peps pay 400 i guess. i know on the north coast, all the shapers have a stable of good local surfers,20-30+, of which quite a few dont even do club comps, but get cheap boards so other surfers and groms see their boards being surfed well, then then go buy em for retail. i know that RM guy did one of my mates boards for 350 when he first moved up there. he took him away from a shaper hed been with for 20yrs, and was getting cheap boards that whole time, never even bothered surfing a comp despite being one of the areas best goofy footers. i dont think shapers do that as much in sydney though. i know a shaper in syd, whinged to me he was over giving a few guys cheap boards, then all their mates wanted the same deal, so he stopped it. but then he turned round and said he would do me a board for what i was getting my boards from plater for. i got one, and it is a really good board. its the only other shapers board ive surfed in the last 20yrs, but i felt like id cheated on my wife lol
i tell ya, being outa the water really sucks, but after a big stint out, im not really missing it. i read carrolls thread on losing intetest and i identified with it. a few other guys here in the past have said that forced layoff, after a yr, u dont miss it. i guess for me, growing up surfing the north coast, then moving to sydney and surfing overated crowded lineups, im over it.
whats going on with your back? dodgy discs?

Got another for sale.

Byrne "shredder model'.
5'11 x 18 3/4 x 2 3/8.

bit too much foam for me so selling.

In solid condition. Few normal compressions. Was creased approx 3 inches down from nose however has been professionaly fixed and won't affect performace as it is far up the nose, out of the water.

Will throw in a set of Powerbase fins worth about $75 alone.
Board is on the Northern Beaches.
$200.

I am sad to say with a tear in my eye that the Bradley sold to a happy realsurfer. Hate to see it go but it was beyond my needs for now and the wife can't get her car in the garage due to my board problem. I will probably just end up getting another Bradley coz they are such nice boards, just don't tell the wife.

Got another board I may sell.
Haydenshapes Step up
Golden gun model
6'4 x 18 1/4 x 2 1/4 rounded pin, FCS plugs
Glassed a bit stronger 6x4x4
Surfed twice only so hardly a mark on it, just a few typical light deck compressions typical of first surf or two on a board.
Was made for a trip to Hawaii but I hardly used it.
Lovely board and great travel board or step up for Oz
Make a reasonable offer and I may just offload it.
