I finished off shaping two fish on New years eve and laminated the bottom of one on the weekend couple of photos below. Both are based on an original Steve Lis fish I have in my keeping at the moment. One is shaped from a stringerless EPS blank from shapers Australia and the other is a standard Bennet/Dion PU blank. Both are 5'7" and turned out a little different to each other and the original even though the intention was that I would try and shape them to be the same.

have a bit of glassing to get through at the moment now have 3 fish to finish and a midlength for my neighbor.
Re: Is anyone backyard shaping any more
I finally finished off the two fish and have been riding them for a couple of weeks I like the extra buoyancy of the EPS fish and the finished weight difference was about 300grams, so it is quite a bit lighter. the PU/PE version came in at the same weight as the original Steve Lis fish I took the template off, just on 4kg I think. I have had several good sessions on each of them.

hI @SALTMAN
I foil the keels and glass them myself, they are 50/50 foils set paralell to stringer with 4 degress cant.
TThe Duo: I found some nice single fins at shapers which I thought would work well on the duo (7" classics) so it made sense to use fin boxes, I hadnt thought of tweaking the fin position so they are asymetrical. I have been so surprised by this board it has been going really well and got me very interested in the setup. I actually bumped into NPJ at burford yesterday and had a quick chat about the setup, might want to consider a slightly wider tail next time. I set the fins paralell to the stringer and straught up and down, trailing edge 7" off the tail and 7" apart. It looks odd and makes little sense but goes really well!!!
