Scanning an original board for CNC cutting.

In the U.S you can find companies who can scan a shape with a " laser" :-D-:
And then cut it.
Apart from going to the U.S. for a board, is there any company in Australia that does scan and cut ?

Thanks for your reply Digger !

Further investigation reveals someone in Sydney's west will scan for $500 and then someone else in Byron and then it's over to the U.S.
Kinda lame considering that scanning is going to be the best technique for getting the plotting correct the first time.
I recently spent a few thousand dollars with a guy in Mona Vale who went left, right, up and yes...down, but still couldn't plot a basic board shape so I'm kinda shy about paying people to learn how to get it wrong at my expense.
Maybe in another 10 years we will be able to go into Harvey Norman, get something scanned, and get it 3-D printed within an hour !!

Tell you the truth surffoils. I hope not. Yup many will disagree with me but that's OK as well. Each to their own :)

See the "new project" thread of braithy's ... last couple of posts, he mentioned he had a board saved to a computer file.
