twin fin and egg build

Post by diggerdickson » Thu Jul 21, 2011 7:47 pm

I have got on order 2 blanks for two 6'4 twinnies and another blank for a 5'10 egg (single fin). Looking forward to this project. Im keeping one twinnie for myself, hopefully if I do it well enough it will be my go to board. :D

for the egg Im gonna leave her dead flat all the way through, I will tuck the rails under slightly all the way, no hard edges, this is for my boss's grandkid who does not surf, but goes down about 3 times a year with his family when on holidays, they live out at cooroy, not far from the beach really but they just dont go. So a nice single fin, easy to paddle, very stable, good board to learn on.

sounds good, I like flat bottom boards, interested to see the plan shape...could be tempting to throw in a double concave to vee tail, tuck the rail in, pin up the tail a little and take it for a spin before you decide to hand over.
