You can demo the waterskates at "Let's Go Surfing" in Bondi. I tried out the 6' 8" V-skate from there and I liked it so much that I had one made to the same specs. From the very first wave, it felt so right (it's hard to put into words) - speed, maneuverability, looseness, stability etc.. and it paddles like a much longer board, which allows me to catch many more waves. FYI I'm 5'11" and weigh 80kgs. At www.spsd.com.au there's a page of testimonals on the waterkate.

Hope this helps

I've got a 7'6 Miller fun board from Wicks in Collaroy (Closer than Bondi).

Reckon they'd sell the skates too...
