Looks like this is a barrel hunter for serious down the line speed and hold? Interesting placement of the channels. The Welsh Patriot Rocket :)

flutes are there for additional drive and hold...I wanted a small board that I could really give it plenty thru turns, no nursing whatsoever thru a full speed carve off the top......the waves so far have not suited testing the board at all but when I have had a few chances to push her hard off the top she holds well and pushes back, just a very different beast to what I usually ride in every way from outline, bottom shape and even materials but there are promising signs , just need a decent shape wave to find the sweet spot and adjust to her.... it feels like it'll suit a certain wave and not be an everyday rig...think it'll need a bit of a steep face to carve from and due to alot less nose area it doesnt have the planing area for full waves...I am thinking a 2-4ft will be when it works best, with something to turn off, feels small even though only 5'9" due to less area in nose... there was a few times after floaters that I landed with speed and then pushed and botom turned in front of the wash that it really took off, seems it'll go once its up and running but doesnt have that glide and plane that the Fat-Bats and Swingers have......will ride her for a while as is then may change the fins to see how she goes then....I have some Pipe fins and also thinking the old favs M3's and G1000's..... 8)

Great Mark you're heading down that line to venturis and Bonzer like fin placement.
have you ridden a Bonzer at all, if so has it influenced you at all.
Your boards look great
Jaffa, I'm opinionated, and I'm sometimes right. So?

yeah ridden a few yers ago, Stumpy Wallace shaped a few and I grabbed one and had it for a few months...it went well but I never really was blown away by it...wasnt convinced that what was goin on under there had that much benefit performance wise compared to other designs...I liked it and still like the design but not sure if they go that much better ( or any ) for the extra work involved, thats not a lazy shaper talking, as I love a bit of a challenge....another shaper round here who is a top shaper and good bloke is doing the Campell bros. orders for Oz....
I did a deep double with 2 +1 set up, quite, bonzerish, can see pics in 'board design section, post called 'show us ya 2 + 1 setups ' , so I am tinkering with certain aspects of it I guess, have a few others goin on too.... 8) the 2 + 1 is for sale also, so I can do MORE design trials.....
