Hey Steve,
she's a car topper set up like a bass boat.
Dims are 3.8 x 1.6 beam from 550 to 650mm of freeboard 10degree of deadrise in the hull
she has a self draining floor, minn kota on the bow, live well, and ice box built in under the casting platform. She weighed 65kg when I first built her but we've added a few extras and also lam'd an extra skin on the bottom as it's going up to the cape and my father in law was worried about crocs and rocks.
I reckon it'll now weigh up around 90kegs
I'll send you some pics if you're interested in what she looks like

It would be if I had a mould. I am working on making a plug out of cold moulded gaboon ply, probs use 2 x 3mm on hoop stringers as the shape up in the forward sections is compounded so straight ply won't bend fairly.
The core in the one pictured is 80kg divynicell - 6mm bottom and sides and 8mm soles

Nice vessel Gibber.

Not too dissimilar to Greenough's new small boat.

Bit more flare in those bow chines and you'd take that to the shelf.

Yeah she is an estuary and dam/lake boat but surprisingly does handle a small chop quite well. I've drawn up a 16'er for a mate for moreton bay and that hull has a lot of flair in the fwd sections to get her through the short steep chop found on the bay. Also drawn a 20'er that I want for getting over to moreton to acces yellow patch and boulders, just need the spare funds for the materials and I'm set.
Have you got any pics of georges boat?

Neat little rig Gaz. Be awesome for the lake at my place. The bass and toga have been on fire in there lately.

What was the schedule, Mark? Just on the deck or...?

Spoke to the rep yesterday (thanks Huie), got some 2oz coming to throw on a deck.

Anything to watch out for Huie?

first impression... how do I cut it, reminds me of bloody kevlar already :x

Did a little sample piece with 2x4 e-glass compared to 1x4 e + 1x2 Innegra S, compression looks to be the same for both so I wouldn’t be using it to avoid dents as there doesn’t seem to be any advantage other than a presumed weight saving.

Yes I know Innegra is about tensile strength. Have to rethink how/where I am going to use my sample now. No point putting it on a chunk that is unlikely to snap.

H, board came back from Iggy with VERY minor deck compressions, as I may have indicated earlier, looks more like the odd impact than normal compressive wear, if you get my drift.

Gave the board to another mate to try and he just asked ‘how much?’ after a test ride... so I can keep an eye on it’s progress. Still very good from what I have seen.

Intend to use it on the deck of my next mal utilising your methodology. It’s currently in production so will keep you posted.
