Grat stuff huie. I used the UV resin ( additive in can ) for my keel fish, worked magic, but the last one i just used normal. Worked good, but im going back to UV.

Dumb questions, is the stuff you get from midget already UV treated, as in, can i get the UV resin from him, and its ready to go?? no need to add anything?

Cheers

It's awesome isn't it Huie :D .

I do exactly the same, all the way down to the freezer bag gloves. Like you said just flash off the bottom, flip and tidy anything up on the laps. Paint a bit of extra resin over the edge of the lap. Flash. Sand lap, and ready for the deck glass.

Perfect for someone like me who is usually only working on 1 board at a time. Virtually no down time in the glassing process.

Nice tip on the clean-up, I'll give it a try.

yea just remember dont let the uv see ya brush till you get it in the water

sqeeze al resin out of brush you can put it in another container and use for dings if ya want :)
then use about half a desertspoon or so of soapowder rub it inn
get it in the hot water gloves and all rub it with vigour then squeez all that slime out of brush
back in water scrub it good then rinse in the second lot of water
tap out exscess water let dry in sun same with squegee and gloves
same if you use catylist but the brush will not last as long

heh no more nastys good for you good for everyone realy
how did those little yellows pan out

Hey Huie. I've still got 2 there, but I'm waiting to see how my board holds up. I've only had a couple of surfs on it, but it's already got minor depressions around the foot area. Nothing you wouldn't expect from light weight foam combined with a light glass schedule. At this stage, can't find much difference between it and the Burford greens I use, for both weight and strength. Time will tell though, just gotta get a few more surfs in  .

hahah, i just lammed my litte eggy type fishy thing. Worked sweet, although i stepped in a puddle of resin, and had to avert an almost disastrous deck lam while constantly unsticking my feet from the plastic on the floor. Would have been quite funny to see, glad the roller door was down.

Seriously, if i'd been using MEKP, i would not have been able to save the deck. It bunched up pretty good, as i was concentrating on doing a logo ( first one ) and mustve folded the glass without knowing, so i had to very carefully and slowly peel it up and put it back into place. Still got a few kinks, but nothing major, and im happy to have lammed both sides. The hardest part ( bar sanding ) is over, pheeeew!

Will post pics soon in the other thread
