Nothing major Loof.

Pretty much a blocking pattern in the main full throttle Tasman sea swell window but looks to be a steady supply of deeper polar swells coming from the southern ocean circle paths.

Trades go a bit wonky and troughy early next week, might be some northerlies.....which could open up some right-handers.

You'll get waves and won't have to dodge big CB.

whats the occasion?

one of those polar swells is looking a lot more solid now Loof.
Take care if you surf on Thurs.
CB will be long period and bombing.

Yeah thanks Steve, there were about 6 blokes in bouyancy vests including Nathan Hedge and a couple of Hawaiians. I managed to sneak a couple of smaller ones on the inside but was riddled with adrenalin and anxiety about being caught by an 8-10fter behind it. Some fcccckn mind blowing barrells being ridden that you could have driven a fccckn road train through.

Mellowed out a bit towards midday with a slightly dropping swell and higher tide so paddler further up the point and caught a couple of nice ones that ran through.

I was a spectator thats all. It was a very humbling experience. Some insane surfing happening in front of me. Waves I caught were nothing ones in comparison to what was going down. Still, a nothing wave at Cloudbreak sure feels like something :-D-:

Had a fun session on Tuesday and will head out again tomorrow.

Hahaha. I know that feeling, in over your head.

At Gragagan on a big day I paddled out on a rising swell and caught the wave of my life at Launching Pad. Paddled back out and was sitting waiting with no-one deeper and a pack of 30 spread along the take-off zone. I was was waiting for the next set when I saw a huge lot of whitewater out at Kongs, so I started paddling steadily out to sea, I had 70m head start on the pack as they took a while to react, not like scaredy cat me, I had made a good 120m before the next wave loomed, I paddled over pretty easily but it was a fcuking monster and I was really freaking out about what was coming next. It was a lot, lot bigger and I just managed to duck dive the top 6' of it as it started to pitch and came out paddling my arms off and just mad it over the next.

There was chaos in the water, everyone else had been cleaned up, broken boards and leggies. With 20 minutes there was only 3 of us out. My only goal was to get in safely. It took a while.

Coulda done with one for the only ever 2 wave hold down I've experienced

Sneaking insiders on a really solid day is probably behind me now too
