So what's doing - are we in for mayhem or will it be a fizzler?
I remember many years ago on huge NE cyclone swells i used to bay surf around Jibbon - it was really good fun, but sharky as hell.

Mayhem. Based on the charts, can't see how it won't be at least 8 foot on the Iggy scale.

15-18ft NE swell with 35kt NE wind for NSW South Coast. Should be interesting to watch from the headlands. Cant imagine too many beaches will be anything other than massive washing machines (with no sand visible probably).

Mid arvo eastern beaches surf report.
Marourbra - three to four foot of bunched up relentless garbage washing sideways down the beach. One dude attempting to paddle out from the north end. Not a fkn chance in hell.
Coogee - north end has some sloppy dribble about chest high with a couple out trying to catch something resembling an actual wave.
Bronte and Tama - much the same as Marourbra, but no attempted paddle outs.
Bondi - semi clean total shutdowns with a piss weak sideband energy, waist to shoulder high, with about 150 of Sydney's finest sad sacks trying to tic-tac closeouts.

Think I'll sit today out somehow.

Had a drive by Manly and Curlie this morning, same story. With the amount of putrid runoff, wouldn't have been worth it even if it was quality.

Checked the farm this arvo - offshoreish 2-3ft - but really full. Plenty out too, but the wind looked incredible.

Looks pretty fricken big out there. 10ft plus? Hard to tell, super unruly. Hopefully get some decent banks on the NB's out of it.

Offshore, gunna have a paddle on the 7'6"at the Point.
Rock-off looks nightmarish.

Bower is out of control, maybe 10 foot close outs and surges all through it. Surges on the beach at Manly washing up against the retaining wall.
