And with a swell direction of 200 deg it was never gonna make it into the coastline (Nth NSW) until right on dark tonight IMO. But def more so tomorrow.

doesn't it say swell direction 183 deg?

anyway ... without geeking out over weather in a somewhat retarded fashion. When my untrained eyes look at seabreeze and SN, I'm seeing the same thing.

seabreeze are saying the swell will hit on dark, and peak tomorrow in the 10ft range, and so is SN.

Yeah what's the go ? Surely ballina should be copping more than 2ft ?

swell direction I'd say Iggs ... swell is kinda moving away from the coast in a ssw direction.

clearly visible on the Byron Buoy

Iggs, swell front only due from midday up the North Coast and is filling in as expected from Steve's reports.

Low pushed north of the Seal Rocks region so not blocked at all by Treach etc. With those core winds a very large and late kick in swell should be seen on the North Coast.

SN is saying 200 deg as of lunchtime this morning for Ballina.

Byron buoy is currently begging to differ mind you!!!

and looking at that, it'll likely run "true to form" with le-ba to ballina copping something worthy. but as soon as any remaining refracted swell hits cape byron it'll be completely snuffed out for anything north, spare a trickle and sniff here and there.

It won't be anything like the size across NSW, but should still see headhigh sets out the back at Snapper tomorrow. Periods strong and hit 16s at Coffs.

Yes period is looking very good on the Byron buoy too!!!!. Spectral is showing a reasonable amount of swell east of south also....surprisingly!!

hey craig ... what swell direction you reckon it'll be by the time it hits the top end of the sunny coast?

Braithy I was only gammon with that seabreeze call.....I knew that swell front was going to hit at lunch-time, was tracking it on the buoy array.

just didn't want some seascout kook or such-like eavesdropping getting any hints.
