get a piece of the pie this morning Braithy?

Low hanging fruit everywhere before the wind got up.

As the Wu-Tang say : We zig, zag, zig we don't fcuk wit no pig.....which meant by the time the crowd had figured it out we had our tube soaked souls self righteous with selfish surf stoke towelling off in the car park.

thank you ladies, thank you ball girls.

Haha. Love the Wu.

I got a few at big, mushy alley, but no crowd. Maybe six guys tops early afternoon. Nothing noteworthy though. The 5'10" was a little twitchy out there.

No-one's getting a little jazz on over the models for late this week, early next week?

Vanuatu system drifts in and goes quasi-stationary off the SW tip of Grand Terre. Nice cradling high.

Yeah it looks good, a week out.

But so have the last 5 or 6 false alarms. I'm at the stage where, once the swell is lined up in the water heading our way and local winds are cooperative, thats when I'll get out my jazz hands.

the mjo is looking active and intensifying for NE australia, which is a good starting point.

I got a bad feeling about one big dominant low forming in the coral sea, that big mid level high taking a hold of her and heading west and busting banks.

My mangoes told me.

False alarms?

The lead-up to that last swell was sick. Day after day of super fun surf.

But yeah, that scenario is a worry. Still, any retrograding seems to happen far enough north.

Yeah, I know. It was really fun. I guess I was holding out for that one good session where it all came together and punched the shit out of me.

Parko nearly drowned in the last swell. Leggie got hooked on a rock, he reckons he was about 10 seconds away from the closing curtain.

Yeah ... that high though, is looking like sitting pretty for some SE qld action.

Maybe because we've seen first decent down poring of rain for quite some time.

Fcuk it dry up here.

... one positive is, maybe a big sand clearout at kirra might be the first baby steps in getting little groyne back?

Still a little hard to tell, as no one knows where the low is actually going to form.

It should turn into a TC, and the you could see the high in the bite moving into position nicely for a coast hugging, bank busting event. This will test my mango theory, huh?

I reckon by monday we might know.

Haven't seen a chart for a week, Don, was just guessing.

How's the snow?

Snow's fecking great Boo. Today was picture postcard perfect. Not a cloud in the sky. But it also meant high temps. Supposed to be even hotter tomorrow (7deg in the village). Fortunately we're not skiing tomorrow. Off to see some snow monkeys and sake brewery. Big cold front coming tomorrow night and big dump coming tomorrow night so hopefully some good snow for us on our last day Sunday. Crowds were fecking non existent today. It was like as soon as the sun came out they all ran for cover. I'm assuming they don't ski here unless the snow is falling.
