Looks like the first gender bender of the season as Typhoon Whipa tracks NW in the east Phillipine Sea. There'd be a left in Northern Luzon off the hook right now.

Off to Taiwan in 5 weeks. Wish I was there now though. Looks like the whole island is getting swell.

interesting trip.
sounds like access during swell events is a serious issue. ie they tend to arrest people who surf.
Those islands between Taiwan and the Phillos look amazing.

yeh i've heard access can be an issue during typhoons... i'm not anticipating more typhoons during my stay though as it's quite late in the season.
