storm force winds in the core of that low now, embedded in severe gales.

Looks like models and the BOM undercooked the strength of it.

Came up so quick here today.

This winter > this autumn. Already got my one per year wave. And we're only a few weeks into this juicy season.

Tend to agree Coops. Surf has been unreal for the last month South Coast NSW. Water's still warm and banks at my local have been producing the best waves i've seen in years. It has finally blown the cobwebbs out of last year's shite.

Been getting many solid clean fast kegs over the past 3 days. More surf to come.

Steve et al....what's this next burst of tropical moisture combining with an upper cold pool likely to do? GFS 12z had all hell breaking loose for us SE Qlders/Nth NSW, but the 18z run has diluted that back a notch now with the low deepening further south of us?

I don't want it to be honest, although will take the low deepening south of us, giving us offshore winds and a good fun E/NE swell off the backside of the low/high combo :B

Quite solid last night and this morning just north of there. Imagine Cresso would be quite nice with the east.

Is this next low going to be a bank buster?

I'm looking forward to getting back home and into a steamer to my old banks ... but what if they're not there? WHAT IF???
