Super Typhoon Bopha

For those that aren't aware, the Phillipines is about to get smashed by Super Typhoon Bopha. She's got wind speeds of 130knts (240 km/hr) with gusts up to 160knts (300 km/hr) and maximum significant wave heights of 52 feet.

That's one mean system sending out some pretty impressive swell from such a compact core.

that is fucking evil.... cloud nine and samar surf camps look like they will be flattened.

washington post has some images of this typhoon, soon to touch land the eye they say is 7 miles in diameter.

Mindanao; thats a very southerly track for such a powerful typhoon.
And late.
Those poor folk won't be prepared for such a devastating system.

at least 52 dead....doubt it will make the news.
