Winter: La Nina refuses to leave the building.

What surfer doesn't care about the weather? Who hasn't predicted the arrival of a new swell? Do all of it here!

the stench of disappointment on the Sunny Coast could be smelt as far away as Ballina.

Fortunately I took the big boards, otherwise it may not have been surfable. It was marginal as it was.

So nowhere picked up a 3ft wave on the Northern NSW coast with this swell? It was always gonna be a smaller 2ft on the Sunny Coast.

The swell arrived later Friday in Manly and pulsed to a solid 3ft on the sets, although very inconsistent. Seeing as the fetch was more favourably aligned for further north I'm surprised it didn't perform well :?

The late on Friday was bigger than the early on Saturday. Either way it was no bigger than 2 foot. Very sad :?

Craig, I got reports from the Sunny Coast to the Tweed on Saturday morning and I can tell you that E'ly swell was a hoax up here (as Steve said). The only swell seemed to be from the south on Saturday morning and it was only 2ft/2ft+ at the super exposed south facing swell magnets. Everywhere else (Goldy and SC) were 1ft, maybe 1-2ft tops.

Don's report confirmed for the southern Sunny Coast at an E swell magnet.

1-2 would be generous, a dentist from Dubbo would still be ashamed of that call

Not late next week, early the following week. LWT intensifying significantly across the Southern Tasman.

I'm specifically referring to around Thurs 13th/Friday 14th September.

I think you're referring to around Mon/Tues 10th/11th?

There were 2ft (maybe a couple 2ft+) sets here Sat morning from the ESE before the S'ly hit.

Late Fri there were reports of 2-3ft surf at the Cape.

"Moving into a weak Nino or neutral with a base state of negative PDO and IOD would suggest a pretty mild winter with a late kick into Spring, before a dry northerly pattern."
