Crowdy Head Sea Surface Temp Reading

Post by Donweather » Mon Apr 30, 2012 3:00 pm

I assume the Crowdy Head Sea Surface Temperature reading as per the MHL website is incorrect?

it's consistently been showing sea surface temps around 13-14 deg!!!!

Byron is showing 24-25 deg and Sydney is showing 22-23 deg, hence I'm questioning how Crowdy can be 13 deg!!!

Also checked the real time SST charts, and I can't see any cold inshore currents around Crowdy. Can anyone confirm or otherwise what the water temps are around the mid Nth NSW Coast. CW is saying around 21-22 deg on their reports?

Email Mark Kulmar.
They updated their website a while back, they're still sorting out some problems.

Don, think that is a spurious reading. No way the inshore temp is 13 to 14 degs round my way.
