Drought breaker?

What surfer doesn't care about the weather? Who hasn't predicted the arrival of a new swell? Do all of it here!

I hope you're not expecting to see anything surfable from that TC swell the model is showing Marcus? She's way outside our swell window based on current GFS tracking. EC tracking is even further outside our swell window.

Most leading models are pointing towards a crossing up the far north as well, so she's not expected to track SE parallel to the coast at this stage either....but hey, models have been known to be wrong.

I'll settle for a couple of feet of S swell later this week. Longish period stuff tends to wrap around a certain island tip very nicely thanks. 8)

I still don't buy the "official" narrative about 9/11. Oh sure, it happened, fcuk yeah. But who and why and how I'm, not convinced it was what we've been told.

There will be two swells in the water around this time Trev to assist with both the consistency and peakiness of the surf.

More hope of something late next week from our Fiji way Marcus.

But don't despair, as I reckon you should find some fun waves sooner rather than later, assuming you look sooner rather than later

A bit more size than expected this morning too which was good but it was raw. Not complaining at all after the last 6 weeks.

This morning was a much welcome suprise indeed. Was expecting solid 3ft waves but it was a solid 3-4ft with 5ft sets at dawn

Surfed south Curly and there were a few fun ones if you were right position when they wedged up off the point, and it got better as the tide filled in a little and the swell dropped with 3ft+ wedges grinding down the point.

Beautiful day with a cool crispness to the air and blue sunny skies :D

I hope Don's prg chart doesn't come off.

Banks are set up perfectly for Autumn.
Don't want a 10foot storm swell to wash them all away.

Track out baby......stay wide.

Something like a Wati track would be fine.

With Don's serial hexing of swells, there's no way it'll come off.

So with all this info available, can Larry tell us exactly where and when the good stuff is going to hit please? Also what type of craft it will be best suited too and possibly where we can get a good parking spot too if possible

Nah jokes.. I'm just jealous coz I got nothing all weekend and then sat down at work this morning to great pics and reports!

I don't hex swells do I?

Anyway, as stated in the fine print in my post above, I did state it aint ever gonna happen. I mean it's some 300hrs+ out, and the models can't even agree at present on 24-48hrs out as to where, how, if this cyclone is going to form up north.

So we are all kidding ourselves on anything and everything at the moment. I was merely just drolling over the chart and thought I'd share the drool.

I can confirm SurfSA report of curly this morning.
The 5'+ set wave he reports detonated on my head and I got to enjoy something I have experienced for months - totally steamrolled by a wave. Plus of course some solid walls to hook in to!

GFS has got very excited about this Coral sea TC coming down from the solomons next weekend. Nobody else is really calling it. Given that EC called the Tasman Low for todays swell and GFS was not interested until a day out, I will go with EC and say no TC in the coral sea this week. Hope I am wrong

And I do have to agree with Steve on how awesome the banks are primed at the moment, but seriously Steve, surely we're gonna get some decent surf between now and Autumn that will alter those banks??

Was this at the north end (ie the south facing end of the beach)?
