Don't like the speed of movement away nor the fetch alignment with respect to the circle paths of the southern swell window.
Latest ASCAT pass would seem to confirm that impression.
I agree the speed of movement of the fetch was quick, but me thinks there was some core wind speeds on the SW flank of the low as it moved away.

Based on this great circle path from Nth NSW it would appear to me that there's a 12-15ft S/SE swell aimed straight for it?

For me, the latest ASCAT pass has missed the fetch/winds. Hindcasting the winds and it looks as though the brief fetch on the SW flank of the low was created on Monday afternoon/evening. This is just starting to show it on the archived ASCAT.

Result: a five hour pulse of inconsistent but very good quality 2-3ft SE swell.
Picked up very nicely by the Byron Buoy.
I want Nightclub Dwight dead in his grave I want the nice-nice up in blazes

It aint over just yet by the looks of it Steve. Sydney buoy has picked up another pulse.

Perhaps it's running late? or perhaps I'm just being rather optimistic again

Gonna be hard to decipher in the wave buoys up here now anyway as we're expecting the leading edges of the E'ly groundswell in the mix as well (as probably picked up on the Byron Buoy as we speak).
