Re: sell me your board - budget $250 tops

I found the worst conditions for Tuflites were v stiff off shores. I got blown up the face of many hollow offshore waves, esp if bigger. i loved the tc Byrne in junky beach break, esp slight onshore full waves. In clean conditions it could also feel electric. I think tuflite could have been a lot be...

Re: sell me your board - budget $250 tops

^ I think it's 19.5 wide, 2.65 thick. It's really beaten up. Been on a few trips Bali and Samoa as well as being my go to board for years. However, tuflite is fuckn strong and all dings are essentially cosmetic. I'm v average surfer 83kg and it goes great in waves that suit it. I'll get one made in ...

Re: Ask Carroll

Re Samoa. Yes, lots of surf. Imperfect, shallow, sectiony reef waves abound. If the waves aren't out front of yr location, access can take some organising, and about. Look up coconuts / boulders

Perv on the voluptuous offerings within.

If I had unlimited time, space and cash I'd want about half of them.

Re: Midlengths

I have a Hayden Lewis 'paddle pop' 7'0 mid length for sale. Beautiful board, not ridden much. Thruster set up and more on the performance end of scale but if yr a shortboarder you'll be able to cheat 5 / trim and glide. My surf time is limited so I just cant make good use of it - rather sell before ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

^^ yeah olds, lurline looks quite approachable on smaller day, almost a mal wave. getting in and out doesn't look too bad at that size but the wave probably isn't worth the effort....though crowd pressure in e suburbs makes me think about giving it a crack. i've once seen it break about 15ft i'd gue...

old forum chat about wci and lurline. you considered lurline hellhatch? i've seen that break in the very big range and it looks horrendous...not many escape routes and the worst entry / exit, would love to see someone try!

Re: Where did you surf today ?

I dunno. I was watching deadmans on sat morning, mostly it just looked pointless. V low rate of waves made, even boogers. But fairly easy to avoid getting caught by bigger set...correct me if I'm wrong, first time I've seen it break at that size ...but wedding cake island, very long way out, very lo...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

First scoped Wedding Cake I'm intrigued. You mean the left off south of the island? I've only seen it break a few times, and it looks unpredictable and scary in a way that Deadmans doesn't to me (disclaimer - i've surfed neither, and I'm unlikely to). It might have a deep water channel and no obvio...
