depends on your circumstances, but it will be a while before things are back to normal.
Well, as normal as they can be for a gaikokujin.

likely to be 2-3 feet on the west coast of the US, centred on LA, up to 6 feet in Hawaii.
If there is one good thing, the tsunami will mostly affect the two places in the world (Japan and Hawaii) best prepared for it.

Re: Quake and Tsunami hit northern Japan
terrible news for japan. Living so close to the plate boundary means very little warning. The period of the waves was massive, 9.2ft (on the gauge, deep water) at 72 minutes in Hokkaido. Fortunately most of the energy is directed away from the low-lying countries. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/...

Re: who wants a Quikky ?
OneHD was great, I could work from home and have the TV going, meant I actually got more work done than if I was streaming it at work.
watched most of it, but missed most of the semis and the final. Not sure if I'll go back to watch it, seems like it peaked in the QFs?

It's got a bit less foam in the tail than the normal nuggets. http://www.mccoysurfboards.com/v1/surfboard-brochure got the gull wing fin and a big dolphin fin too. I've had it for a year, and it's time to pass it on to a new h...

Re: Fish or small wave performance?
What I meant was has anybody ridden one - I'm looking for a quad performance shortboard so I don't have to ride my traditional fish anymore... I want to be a real surfer again with a pointy nosed craft!! I rode a quad in byron and loved it... desperately looking for a fat floaty, loose, fast down t...

Re: who wants a Quikky ?
Tyler Wright can surf, but the interviews remind you just how young she is. I lost 20 IQ points in 2 minutes. Isn't she 16 or so? Still at school? I'm working with women in their late 20's who couldn't dribble correctly without an instruction book and 3 weeks training. She looked pretty good agains...

Re: who wants a Quikky ?
scoring was a bit all over the shop in the Taj heat. The right man won, but after the girls QFs the judges seemed to be going a bit nuts with the 9s. Didn't leave themselves much room to move at the top end of the scale. The emotion of Jordy was interesting, perhaps a sign he's still not tough enoug...

I was looking for it to quote something you said, it was beautiful stuff.

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot
captain, i've ridden a few of Geoff's shapes, and while I haven't ridden a true hull (at least not as a surfboard, i've ridden some hully windsurfers) I'm not sure they feel the same. the convex bottom feels like it sucks onto the wave the faster you go. like it becomes part of the wave, rather than...
