Re: Where did you surf today ?
Short answer, yes. Witnessed a pretty big slump over here during winter. Would've been lucky to survive if it landed on you. It's only likely to happen when there's evidence of it occurring on a smaller scale. So if you see some new slumping at the bottom of a steep dune, it could happen if waves ar...

The ear infections are bacterial, dw. That's why they work on the kids. Kids are a bit different to adults. They can crash very quickly in comparison, but the good thing is that they generally recover more quickly. Hope your ailment fcuks right off soon

Re: Magnesium ... good for ya health?
Antibiotics DO NOT WORK on viruses. Never have and never will. They fight bacterial infection. Using them for futile purpose has resulted in bacteria becoming increasingly resistant to them. Has big implications for human health - and for dogs, cats, horses, cows, etc. EDIT: I was sidetracked (worki...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Got a dawn surf in at Gunnamatta this morning. It was a pretty small small but decent enough. There has been massive erosion there recently. The steps leading down to the beach at the second carpark have been washed away and so has a decent few metres off the top sand covering of the beach. The tra...

Certainly feels like we're all pretty easy targets. I've got a 4/3 RC E bomb that I've had for a few winters. Good suit, but others have had the same suit disintegrate in no time. Might be luck of which Asian sweat-shop worker did the gluing and stitching I also have a 'bong 3/2. The legs have stret...

Re: FFW - Wingnut's Backyard Boards
I've sometimes wanted to post pics straight from the web. Way too many times I've got the message "Unable to determine the size of the image" Just once I posted a paint image (my own) successfully. Stuffed if I know how I did it as it seems pics already have to be in the public domain. It's painful ...

Hate to throw a spanner into the experimental mechanisms, but it can't work - as an experiment. Efficacy is determined by double blind trials OK well I can be the blind one. I'm not taking magnesium and I feel fcuken sharp as a tack most days...not sore, pretty loose and flexible, quick heart rate ...

How does this work, swvic? From what I remember of high school chemistry, all chlorides are soluble except lead, silver and one other I can't recall. Wouldn't adding chlorine make things more soluble? Or does it precipitate out the lead if there were nitrates there previously? The other one is merc...

Re: Magnesium ... good for ya health?
Yeah, Beany, most people won't be affected by high counts of most bacteria. It's the very old, the very young and the imunosupressed that are susceptible. Giardia (as boo was referring to) though is different. Easily knock anyone about. Cryptosporidium is another, but it is somewhat resistant to chl...

Re: Magnesium ... good for ya health?
People on tank water often enquire about bacterial testing. I usually tell them there's never a tank I've tested where levels are within reccommended guidelines and to assume theirs isn't and deal with it. Costs the business though If you know you have high zinc, calcium & potassium, maybe you migh...

Can't understand the fuss. After all, there will be a wave pool “of a standard to host international surfing competitions”
