Re: FCS Quads - What are you using ?

I think we are all starting to agree they do have their hang ups, as do aspects of any board. Its all relative to the type of surfing you do and the type of waves you surf. I don't think anyone ever suggested they were perfect. You strike me as the one with the hangup. Probably some good forums som...

Re: swellnet vs coastalwatch vs realsurf

. Buy when it starts taking over the forums as much as it has, with most posts aimed at selling another board to a realsurfer well yes it starts getting damn boring. . That's a big call and a grossly unfair one. Suggest you do a troll through all the topics in the various threads for the last week ...

Re: swellnet vs coastalwatch vs realsurf

I only use realsurf for the forums from time to time but gotta say Im with Rozbig. Realsurf Forums are now one big sales advertisment for MORE surfboards. They used to be ok but are sooooooo boring these days. yawn. I like to rock the boat for personal entertainment from time to time, but the Pridm...

Re: Your oldest surf t and why you've kept it

Haven't been to HB in Coffs but been to plenty of others from Terrigal to Castle Hill to Caloundra and haven't had a bad meal yet. More importantly, my wife likes it, too. So it's win/win. (bit of corporate speak there  )
You can now buy curly chips like theirs in Aldi. 8)

Re: Your oldest surf t and why you've kept it

I've got a T and 2 long sleeved T's from the 1997 Australian Longboard Championships at Port Macquarie. Still wear them occasionaly. 8) I also have a "Skyfire" (forerunner to Riverfire) T shirt from about 1993. My wife reckons 've got too many T shirts but I collect them from all over the world when...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

The late arvo glass off was a welcome relief after a pretty shit weekend of swell and house painting. Just checked around Trevs neck of the woods and the groyne is throwing up a little head high wave, not much of ride though on most of them and the pack is thick Late arvo glass off/ It's blowing a ...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Love it Hatchman. My mates tell me it was pretty good at my local yesterday - all day. Not sure whether or not to believe them but they did say it was very crowded. Anyway, this morning was glassy. One of the glass offs you get when it's been calm most of the night. Still plenty of waves aroun...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Much bigger today and the crowd was bigger than you normally see at my point. But - very lumpy and bumpy out the back - southerly wind into it. Much smoother inside as the wind came out over the creek. I have to say though, not one of the point's best days. Maybe later with more water on it, dependi...

Re: BL Blastoff congrats

Hearty congratulations to Barton Lynch for his efforts in organising the Blast off at Palm Beach in Sydney. 200 kids under 14, strong (but not unhealthy) competition, good tips from the judges and lots of other activities. A perfect entree into competitive surfing for young'uns. Is this the comp fr...

Re: Justice - what justice?

The end result is that threats have been made and any Notice of Discovery would get those posters ISPs in a flash. Then it hits the fan for RS and them. From experience I don't think the justice system works as well as it should either but lynch law isn't the direction to go. I've seen more serious...

Re: Justice - what justice?

"Meaningful discussion". Nah, it's abt a father seeking support for a court decision he objects to. (and as discussed he has the option of a civil damages suit) The court made a decision based on the evidence tendered. It's abt the evidence tendered according to the Laws of Evidence; not what evide...

Re: Justice - what justice?

You and other's may have "problems" eh. Sorry puurri, this is the classic, "throw it back on the other guy" ploy oft used when people can't or can't be bothered entering into a meaningful discussion in depth - in case they lose. ie. I don't have a problem, everyone else does. Well there's a more si...

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Actually the SW blows around the headland and out through the Tooway Creek area, so it's almost directly offshore. 8) Winds will probably have some S'ly component in them tomorrow too Trev. Yep, that means it comes out the creek and around the headland from Shelley. Then there's a meeting of the mi...
