Re: Twin fins as go-to boards
If people paid a decent price for boards they'd still get fins for free. You want a handshape for $600 you have to pony up for the accessories. True enough. Thinking more the $900 off the rack situation. (And my 20% would then be off - oops). Still since when is something that is necessary for the ...

Re: Twin fins as go-to boards
Fins - fcuk me what a marketing shit storm! $120+ for a set of fins. Remember when they came with a board! Now they are a 20% increase on the sticker price before you can get the board wet! I was talking to a guy who was involved in one those cheap FCS knock off type companies and he said they were ...

But the DHD comes in at $250-300 extra and mostly off the rack. It would wanna have something about it other then a DHD sticker.

I don't believe you! A shaper who delivers on time - its an urban myth I tells ya!batoes wrote:
Firstly, he's a great shaper to deal with - no crap - no rubbish. If he says six weeks, you'll get the board in six weeks.
Sounds like he deserves the support. I am gonna go count the coins in the cookie jar!

Re: Twin fins as go-to boards
Cheers Batoes. Unlike you I haven't ridden twins or quads much (poor experiences years ago) but have heard good things. I am also a bigger guy so worry about maintaining drive through turns - from what I hear the RTT gives great hold thus my interest. He is 15minutes up the road so maybe I just go d...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Should have surfed somewhere else - same conditions as Saltman, but had to play with others. And it went from mix of close outs and makable ones to all close outs within 5 minutes of me paddling out. And of the others out one has to paddle over and sit right next to me - just in case my 1 foot close...
