Re: Boards snapped in half...

IMHO those HPR's are great boards. Before I got my Fatbat off Mark, that was my daily driver. Best thruster I've ever owned, great paddler but still loose.

You've done well...Good score I reckon!

Re: Mundine.

I dont mind him. Great athlete and works hard at what he does. The stuff people hate him for is about getting arses on seats. And it works. ^^ Agreed... Like many have said, his self-marketing hype wouldn't be considered too controversial if he was in the states FWIW, I used to play a little basket...

Re: Its "different" (pics)

Like what your trying Butts and I reckon you'll soon nail some A+ shots with the slower shutter speed. I can appreciate how it's a technically difficult shot to capture perfectly. Those in-the-barrel shots are extremely hard to capture perfectly without a flash (there's an idea  ) but geez you...

For the last few years I've used the 'key holder' on my leggie. Never had a problem with it.

Anyone else use it?

Re: Where did you surf today ?

there's a decent right point not far from where i live, and i went surfing there yesterday and today. conditions were excellent on both occasions, and surfers were getting barrelled left and right. Al, I'm pretty sure I skipped many lectures at uni to surf that 'decent right point' that you're talk...

Re: Thailand waves ???

Hey Mark, if you are really keen you should get out to the Andaman/Nicobar Islands. I know that the reefs were affected after the Tsunami but with a little research I reckon you will still find waves that will be a LOT better than the best day at the best break in Thailand. Getting there won't be as...

Thanks for posting pics Trev... are they taken from your way, Marcus's way or Fong/Tiger land?

I read a report saying that the banks at Noosa are the best in at least 10 years. Any truth to that? I'm getting homesick now

That was my first surf there and it will be my last. Good read Nick and thanks for sharing your insights with the rest of the RSers. I have often read that Parko has often been scored 'down' because he's just too stylish for his own good. This has always confused me. You have also raised the point in this paragraph: - In the past, some doubts have bee...
