I drove past early on saturday and they was a mighty crowd out so I don't know how they managed to convince them to move. I thought the same thing. South Curly was...

Re: Punting

Just checked my Sportsbet account and noticed you can bet on the Mundaka comp. Anyone had a bet on a heat? Next one is CJ against Jeremy Flores. Paying $1.90 for either to win. Seem like pretty skinny odds . Well.....it's only a two horse race. Bookies have to feed their families as well ya know......

We both said at the time....wouldn't wanna break down/run out of water or fuel around here and be forced to walk into one of those joints for help. Didn't have a mobile between us back then either. I can hear John Jarrat laughing in the background. Anybody want a drink of some nice cool, fresh water?

Spent the first 25 years of my life down there and I ain't seen or know of any spot that requires that sort of jump off. Either it's fake or he is a lunatic just doing it for kicks.

I stand corrected. There is a little NE swell coming through now around 2ft+. Pity it's pretty much missing the contest site though. Around Carlton Street looks alright if anyone's interested.

And Smnmntl, valid point.

To quote: "never trust something that bleeds for a week and doesn't die." Enough said.

So back to why I started the topic, it's still being held in 1ft junk. That certainly ain't good for womens surfing.

If the masses out there don't really give a shit about women's pro surfing.....then why should they get big $/big sponsorships? In the grand scheme of things, it's of very little interest to your average punter. Good on Layne Beachley for doing what she does but nobody owes women 'pro' surfers a li...
