I'm getting uncle gus to and from work now, its quicker than the car in peak times. We just got a commodore wagon, and with the new baby seat and pram I can still fit a 6'3 and a 6'6 along with our bags and shit for trips up and down the coast. I haven't found one of these "love it or leave it" stic...

agree with the ending if Dirt Music, dunno if he was late for a dead line perhaps, but it just didn't fit in with the rest of the book... I don't relate to his work as being "our" stories, as his characters and situations are so far removed from how I grew up. I can see mainstream Australia lapping ...

Finished Breath the other night. Its a very easy read, not sure why but maybe because theres only a couple of characters, making it pretty easy to follow. Its well worth a read, and he doesn't use a whole lot of wanky surf terms in the book. It really did stir up a lot of reminising emotions in me. ...

Since I've got a bub due in 6 weeks, I've been working my ring off for the last 6-8 months. Went from doing a flat 8 hours a day, only 15mins from home. Enjoying lunchtime surfs and arvos even through winter. Then had to chase the $$$ a bit, to try and get ahead a bit. Be responsible ect.. So now wo...

Spot on comment about Burns earlier, he was named in less than half the starting line ups last year, and didn't do a whole lot when he as on the park. He's also not setting the world on fire up at the cowboys either... Monna's had a blinder last year, but up till then was fairly pedestrian. If he ha...

Used FCS for about the last 10 years till my latest board where I though i'd go back to glass. Sort of thought I could tell the difference and liked the feel of glass-ons again, but i've busted a fin out 3 times and its really shitting me, coz the boards out of action for a week. Also, when i get on...

Shark netting kills indiscriminatly, the Japs are at least targeting their catch. It was only this morning I was trying to explain to the missus why the Japs are going after their whales, as fong said, its 1000's of years of tradition. Sure its not PC any more, but who are we with our 200 years of (...

Bro, have a few surfs on a single fin.

I find you've really got to get your back foot right back to turn them. Once ya back on your normal board your back foot slips back going into turns etc...

Also riding a fish can lead to your back foot being too far forward.

Just my experiences though...
