How's THAT epic passive-aggressive clash of wills (C and J). Ol' Tigey wouldn't stand a chance.

Is it OK if they discuss the general question of violence and intimidation in the water, or is that also not permitted?

I reckon Surf Rage is generally overrated and overhyped and represents a tiny fraction of what happens in the water, whatever your gender.

In my opinion the whole sponsorship scene is a bit of a wank. Just a way for kids to fuel their egos. I am not saying that i wouldnt want to become a sponoed surfer, it would be great. But i reckon if you surf hard and gain the respect of the locals at your spot. What more do you need? With respect...

In regards to NC's post: Wouldn't it be a better idea to target a less comercial boardmaker for a sponsorship, and then work your way up to the big fish? Or stay with them depending on what you desire? Well, I didn't suggest going after JS. He's already got a pretty heavy team  I think stuff l...

do you get squid's typically clever link with the story about the unknown guy washed up on Newport Beach, with the dark boardies and the maroon sluggos?

Lovely first paragraph there oysterboy.

hey buddy, tail width is the big issue with fin size in bigger or smaller surf. If you feel good with the M5s, best you stick with the fin shape and simply go up in sturdiness to the glass version of the fin (FG-5 I think?) The glass fin will flex tighter and sharper than the M and will help with dr...

Im 14, and i realise that surfing isnt just about sponnos, glory, fame and ho's ( ), but ive always had that little voice in the back of my...

First you've gotta do something demonstrating your worth to a potential endorsee. This is tough, especially in a surfing world where competitive kids are ripping at the age of 12. And you're like 16 and already on the durries? Man! It'll never work. I would advise you forget the whole ultra-pro aven...

did ya know that the Californian you were hanging with (Allen Hamilton?) was attacked by a shark in the pass? Felix given your name, I'm surprised you didn't see all those freakin' tigers. I had to rescue my daughter a couple of years ago - she was all of 40kg dripping wet, was conscious and able to help, and that was hard enough. Trying to help a 70-80kg+ unconscious adult male ... far from easy :? Don't know that I'd cope alone. Not easy at all hawk. Have urged crew in the past to ...

three boards, why three? where will you ride them? at what size?

not trying to make things complicated but like Longy says, it ain't worth having a "quiver" just to look good.

well there's that, plus of course all the sea snakes ... stingrays love eating sea snakes, and Pohnpei is renowned as the world seasnake capital.

And tigers! Yep tigers roam the streets. You can't go outside without a gun and a suit of armour, which really sucks in that tropical heat.
