Just putting sharks into context

The USA and Australia are the most shark infested countries in the world. Since the year 1580, a total of 682 shark attacks have killed more than 155 people in Australia. In the United States, 1,563 attacks have already caused over 35 deaths.8 Jan 2023

Australia has the highest number of fatal shark attacks in the world, with Western Australia recently becoming the deadliest place in the world for shark attacks with total and fatal shark bites growing exponentially over the last 40 years

Well overhead. No one was anywhere near enough outside to have ago at them. Don't know what's happening at the more exposed Ulus breaks.

Offshore dawn till dusk today. Mainly shoulder high, erratic sets every 30 minutes or so, uncrowded. Smaller than forecaste.

A few large sets catching everyone 50m inside around sunset.

Great stuff Skip. So that's three of us. I'm up for a get-together anytime.

My taxi for airport is overdue... 60 days, no sharks! Not a single surfer death by sharks in Indonesia ever!

Each to their own Yuke, I'm not going to say your perceptions are right or wrong, but they are not mine.

Good longboarding in good waves is more aesthetic than some Pro flogging themselves to push their board into the most extreme position possible on a wave. Style is more important in longboarding comps. I think it was aerials that killed my interest in pro surfing... it made it look like an athletic...
