Re: Bells

I guess thats one of the fundamental problems though. Joe I guess works if they are trying to crack the mass market. But personally the commentators to me that have filled the gaps were Jake the Snake as he actually told it as it was and his classic taking side bets with his offsider The recently R...

Re: new project

Ummm, let's see. A Saturday in the holidays? Going to drive back to Forster that day? Probably sink a couple with the rels that night? From memory a couple of beers with a BBQ. Of course the fact that we had just had a solid week of waves and I knew that Saturday was going to possibly be the day cou...

Re: new project

How big was it. Crescent never handles a big swell, hence the sweep. It was only overhead, not getting into any other nonsense about that. Just lots of water moving and lots of waves in the sets. Nothing I would usually blink at but if you aren't aware of your current limitations it's easy to hop i...

Re: new project

Nice little spray. Reminds me of how relative it all is. Years ago due to work, kids, etc I was half as fit as I am now and a good 10 or more kilos heavier. We rocked up to Crescent Head and it was a good solid swell belting in. Kind of drained all the water right away from the takeoff spot so every...

It's waiting....except they only know the American and Hawaiian Surfers. Could be complicated if the Aussies and Brazzos get up.

Re: Grassy Head.

There are now pandanus at South Bondi. Introduced of course but going very well. Heaps of interesting pandanus up at Port Douglas. Mostly cultivated ones.

My Yaranpingi has its own microclimate which is one of the reasons there are all those fruit stalls out on the highway as seen in MOTE.

You need to exand your horizons.

March was just another month of summer. Two cyclone swells were fine from my pov.

Autumn now starts around Anzac Day.
Autumn starts when I bolt up the coast looking for a wave post Easter. Last year that was my best week of surf.

Re: Indo...is it worth it

Plenty of people have been there more than me but I have gone there over a very long period. Sure others have done more than that too. Anyway last two times I've been there the East Coast has been clean as a whistle. Don't actually understand how you can drive past the dump to get to Serangan and it...

Re: Indo...is it worth it

I love those statues they make. Australian Tourists with fat guts, swilling beer fit directly into the Balinese cast of characters from the Wayan Kulit Shadow Puppets. Vulgar buffoons.

Those triumphant heroic monstrosities they whack up in the round abouts are over the top.
