Re: East Coast Shapers

If you re in Coffs, billy tolhurst makes a great quad fish.

There plenty of good shapers on the east coast just depends where you are, what shape/construction you are looking for and how much you are willing to pay

Bottom... http://img833.imageshack.us/img833/9382/t2fa.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us Thanks for showing us your bottom Pete :-D-: How are the waves looking for Friday? Will your local point be on in the S/SE winds? Back on topic, are you going to try different fins like the greenough 4a this week?

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot

Absolutely. We're both fans of the elusive "one board quiver" board. The Scorpion (for me, at my age, waves I surf) is turning out, inadvertently, to be one. Still riding the other boards in my quiver and enjoying them all. Just that I know I can roll up to the beach with only the scorpion in the c...

Re: Serious injury at the Pass

I don't know matt but surfed my brains out at the Pass when my wife and kids frolicked on the beach and rode their first waves. Maybe if someone who does know Matt and family can post if they are going to need some help, then maybe here on RS we could all chip in a bit to a bank account to be of he...

Re: Serious injury at the Pass

I am shocked that this happened to Matt a more than competent surfer.
Such a nice, cheerful guy.

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot

Good work boys, share your McCoy stoke/froth. I do love a good McCoy thread and there hasn't been much going on in this department for a long time.

Old grom, are you still riding yours?

Nawgs, I am also with Batoes.

However, to be certain, I would PM our new RS McCoy aficionado/zealot cuttlefish or read his astron Zot review

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot

Glad you re stoked Mr Mik. I witnessed Cuttles christen his Zot, we had 3 surfs together just round the corner from you. My best advice to anyone thinking of a Zot is watch how Cheyne Horan surfs his mccoys on YouTube then imitate! Cuttles spent a lot of time watching Cheyne first hand in his youth ...

Re: review of Mccoy Astron Zot

I am actually picking up Cuttles Zot for him tomorrow but not delivering it to the Sunny Coast for another 2 weeks so I could post a ride report by the end of the long weekend..........or would that be poor form :-D-: These Zot's "are lightly used" because one cannot tell how much they actually hav...

Ride report: the zot doesn't like air reverses near rocky out crops, I haven't been able to land one (ever in my life) but don't worry I ll keep practising and take a leash next time :-D-:

Cuttlefish will be on the Bruce highway very shortly!!!

Re: Ask Carroll

Been trying the 5:2 diet that was analysed on SBS a while back. Basically you eat less than 600 calories on two non consecutive days a week and then just generally cruise the rest. Its basically fasting for two days, I am drawn to doing this mainly for other health benefits rather than losing weigh...

C'mon guys its the surf industry, what do you expect.....customer service or to get your sh!t on time ? It is possible, I ordered a custom hypto from hayden shapes which took 13 days to arrive at my door.....in perfect condition and the exact dimensions that i had ordered. Dont get me started on sh...

Re: Longest wait for a board.

That was something pretty smart that Hayden did to generate cash flow. Get the punter to pay upfront and then guarantee a shorter turnaround. His ghost shapers can have a board pumped out pretty quick while he is on the other side of the world in USA, and then it's the glassing that takes a bit mor...

Re: getting old, dont want struggle on a shorty

Same age fong, prolly not as injured. I'm going more refined than ever these days. But I work pretty hard at fitness. I think that's key, the older you get the harder you have to work at fitness. I am fitter and surf better than I did 10 or 20 years ago so believe that the 3-4 gym sessions a week p...

Re: Mini Simmons

I know. They are nice looking boards and he's added a few more to the line-up that look good too. Too many boards, too few dollars, too few days to surf! Sure are, if they re now being produced up here hopefully there will be a couple in the line up. A lot of shapers up here are doing their mini si...
