R/C shark fin

Say you were out at you fave point break (longish way from shore) and out the corner of your eye you spot a 2.5 foot high grey fin hooning through the water about 80 yards away. At some point the fin turns and starts heading towards you, then dives. then it surfaces and sails past you with the famil...

Re: Looking for a Tow Partner

Chris, There are a couple of trained ex navy dolphins going cheap at the base near Manly. Just harness them up like a pair of huskies and your ready. The guys at N Narrabeen have been doing this for years. Not sure how they get them to chage direction, or to stop but Im sure theyl show you how if yo...

I can do top to bottom turns at speed, pull floaters and airs and im still on a pretty Sh#t board. Anyhow Im gonna start wavesailing local breaks...

Hi, Im after a high volume blank (wide and deep) to shape a new windsurf board. (cos I do this too) An SUP blank may cut the mustard, but the plan shape I have planned is more like an over wide egg. widest point will be 91cm length 262 cm depth approx 25 cm can anyone advise if there are blanks avai...

Re: poor eyesight

I use disposable contact lenses. They never come out in the surf when duckdiving (although you have to close your lids) and never have any problems when surfacing. They are a good cheap way to have hawk vision in the surf. When I first put them in I was unstoppable in the surf. Where I was previousl...

Re: 1976 VW Pop Top Kombi Camper

from what i remember from my college days, the bosch jetronic series was an electronic carby. main advantage was the introduction of overrun cut off (when you release throttle pedal the carby cuts fuel to the engine) saved a bit in petrol. even though it was marketed as fuel injection it still works...

Re: Gul wetsuits

Gul wetties are good. I used to swear by them when I was surfing back in the UK. The warranty with them was bullet proof too, which was great. Mostly the winter steamers lasted 2 seasons (2 winters) and that was surfing every day. by the end of the second season the tapes would go and theyd spring l...
