Re: Honu Boards of Bondi

Thanks all, I ended up getting a 9'2" custom Meyerhoffer Longboard. One of those crazy shaped longboards from the US. I saw it on ebay and "Melbourne" clearly didnt know what the f#ck it was! Its basically new and 99.9% ding free. I snagged it for just $277 with bag and new leash. I felt a bit bad, ...

Re: What's to be done with SUPs

i have beaten the SUPs at their own game. I occasionally surf a board thats up there with an SUP for wave catching. When SUPs are in the line up I'll pull out the Flying Pig. the pig, is a nasty pink and blue, 1989, 7'6" windsurfing wave board (yeah i know....but) 17 cm thick in the middle, and a su...

Re: Mallacoota - need advice on best surf accommodation

there is surf at mallacoota. the dog friendly campsite is awesome and the place has a relaxed vibe you can see the break from the south end of the site, at the lookout. the break is on the right hand side of the sand spit. looks rather exposed so you need good wind etc. the fishing off the campsite ...

Re: Maurice Cole's tour of bells

ithink you guys need to get down there a bit more.

the shire has revegetated the whole of the cliff top from bells to torquay.
maintained the paths, removed problem plants...

its no garden of eden. it always has been a farm covered in turd, with a cliff and a small
sh!tty beach.
get over it.

Re: Maurice Cole's tour of bells

there are good dunnies in the lower carpark near the bells break.

if you need a turd they come well recommended.

all locals know this,

its the blow ins that dont and they cr@p in the bushes between winki and bells.

maybe all thats needed is decent signage?

Re: Stuck which board to get now…

You could go way shorter with a McCoy single-fin. Thanks Steve, yeah I reckon a Mccoy Single fin would tick all the boxes. What length do you reckon? Ive seen a guy surfing a 6' (2" there abouts) Mccoy and that was going splendidly. Seeing Ive mostly ridden Mals Im a bit worried about loosing 3' of...
