Re: A shaping challenge
well that was a bit harder than i thought it would be. i got the smallest plane i could find and had a dig at the stringer. tore a bit of the foam up on the side of the stringer but managed to get that out as much as i could. bottom is a slight single concave with pretty medium rails. the rail edge ...

Re: A shaping challenge
So I started sanding the ridges smooth and fine tuning the rails. Looks alright so far. I think I am way too clumsy to be a shaper tho, I put a few bumps and marks in it already. Hopefully they dont show up too much when its finished. some progress shots (from my crappy phone so sorry about the qual...

I wanted to have a go of the quadfather cause it was pretty close to what I wanted to build. I have read a lot of good stuff ...

Re: A shaping challenge
Mark, I am doing a pretty standard 6'2 x 19 rounded pin. its actually pretty similar to the quadfather in outline. i just took one of the template files from boardcad and tweaked it till it looked right. sent it off to miki from aps3000 and he fixed the file so it would cut ok and picked it up a few...
