Re: Single Fins
sequence from sandon point from a few months back in a soupy head and a half high. not even sure what this is called?. perhaps "slicing a trim adjustment off the fall line"? either way, it's about as much "performance" as i'd have hoped to squeeze of the old girl (and myself) in those conditio...

Re: DY thieves
For longy: you can just park up the top (full visibility of southbound traffic) and just walk down to the beach. Dodge the parking ticket fees also.
Car theft and break ins were always horrendous at dbah and the the little hill on top of greenmount. Guessing it's still the same.

Re: Where did you surf today ?
Yday Cronulla Point on first light . Not really that big. Maybe four foot plus. Jimmy and 2nd reef are right. Its needs some proper size to work, and that its all about that first section. yesterday it wasn't barreling. It was just a twenty metre mush over section, then a gradual reform into a kinda...

Re: Where did you surf today ?
I need to get another point break fix. Sandon is probably the closest thing down this way, but I've had a hankering of late for the SEQ points. Sand bottom points reeling for hundreds of metres. Confession . I've never surfed Lennox, though I'd now love to. Years ago I always ever just surfed boulde...

Re: Jeffreys Bay Pro 2015
I have surfed with Davo a few times out at Newport Peak recently. I found him to be very respectful in the line up, and he in fact gave me a few waves that he clearly has priority for. He even made the effort to have a chat in the line up and came accross as just a normal guy who was in fact very f...

The NP split single looks insane. http://www.swellnet.com/news/design-outline/2015/07/10/neal-purchase-junior-and-duo-interview-and-video Looks a bit like a the Nigel Beckham revolutwin I had a while back http://forum.realsurf.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=29891 but the NP draws more of a single fin line

Re: Midlengths
Sounds like a plan. Getting the fins removed and putting in an eight inch raked Flexi sounds totes amaze balls . It'll still work out cheaper than buying another single midlength. I'm happy with the board overall. It's got a good amount of rocker (never nosed it on late steep takeoffs) and it goes o...

Good point. So do you reckon I should do something re: a centre fin or just leave the board as is? I'm more concerned about will it work, rather than it costing

Re: Where did you surf today ?
The Cronulla banks are ok, you just need a touch East in the swell. And some size. Those beachies can either be great (walls and highlines that run forever) or completely shit, with water moving all over. A touch of East in the swell (more the better) and it's fine

Re: Where did you surf today ?
On a dead south swell at Cronulla beachies - unless it's a throaty groundswell breaking at least a consistent head and a half high plus, then you're wasting your time. When it's too small it often backwashes off the gutter and/or closes out. Having size and volume in the swell solves the problem, as...
