Re: Jumping from a quad to a thruster

I've only ridden one quad ... And I couldn't get into it. It was a little fattish left (my backhand) down the coast, and my normal instinct on this wave is to straighten out on the drop, bottom turn up into the lip and then turn into the breaking lip come back down and race a little section. I could...

Re: CW+

Don't look at me as evil, Don ... Just a guy who likes to share the love. Can we hug this out, big fella? In seriousness though, there's not too many places in this stretch of coastline which are secret ... the less crowded places are less crowded because they're hard to surf and you need to have pr...

Re: CW+

Hey Trev, there's plenty of older crew here that still call the point Norries and the beach, Norries beachies ...

Interesting. I knew Bogangar was indigenous, but never knew what it translated to. Cheers for that.

Re: CW+

TMC, not just a pretty face.

Beachside of highway = cabarita beach
Other side = Bogangar.

But, anytime you can weasel the word 'bogan' into your postal address, I feel it's winning.

Re: CW+

As long as swellnet keeps being less uncluttered and easy to navigate ... they got nothin' to worry about.

Re: Teahupo'o

I don't know Reg ... Teahupo'o has a way of turning the pro's into mere mortals like the rest of us. If Kirra gets to 6 foot, I get pretty bloody cagey and edgy. Then you look out and you see JP or Mick smack the daylights out of one while you're in the carpark, and to them, its just fun. Watching T...

Re: Teahupo'o

Was Bielman with you?

If he was, you need to weasel as much Bielman dialogue into your next outsider piece as you can. That guy is comedy genius when the real bullets start flying.

Re: Teahupo'o

Shearer were you shitting it in the channel?

I think just sitting in the channel would have been confronting for me?

Any boats nearly eat it?

Dingo was giving it a red hot go too, huh?

Re: Teahupo'o

KS ... To my untrained eye, it looks like they were closer ... Possibly that ski that was in front of you? Either that or they've cropped it and zoomed it in? But if they zoomed it in without pixels, why wouldn't swellnet have done the same before they put it up. Either way Shearer, its the money sh...

Yesterday was pretty epic. Watched the whole thing online.

It'd be a great shame if the tour lost chopes. It's a special place.

Re: Volume question

I'm on the foam train. Been surfing that 2 7/8 DHD in some juicy stuff this week. I knew the board was good in the punchless high tide shoreys, but wanted to see what it went like in something decent. It was surprisingly nimble, held its rail on some late takeoffs and its down the line speed was to ...

Re: baguettes for brekky

hahaha ... Pot meet kettle. The guy who only has one speed – to be a veejay – wants to talk about others with few dimensions. What will you do for an encore? Juggle tenpins? Hey, when you get banned (again) will you change your name (again) and pretend you're still not Dino (again)? ... Don't know w...

Re: baguettes for brekky

Any chance you can investigate who was responsible at billabong or the ASP for the whole not finding a way for Bruce to be in the comp? The emotional charge and interest this would have given the event make it seem like a bad business decision. Bruce having a chance to defend his late brothers title...
