Re: new member.... and a question
Boards built for "big guys" never turn well. Use it for a while to get back into catching waves and getting your flow back. You could go a HPS with a little extra foam if you get bored, talk to a shaper and let them know what you want.

Re: My rashy is killing me
I use rashies still when water is warm. Except for those quiksilver bamboo rashies were fcuked, they actually gave the worst rashes I've ever had. Never had a problem slipping and I never get them too tight.

Re: why go so short?
Tried a few of those eggy boards, they were fun for a little bit. Until I got back on my normal short board then realise how much I missed doing a turn in the pocket instead of way out on the shoulder. Just have to find a shallower bank and all is good.

Re: Injuries
Got a nice fin chop surfing near DY lagoon couple years back. Went to bust the fins out when my back foot slipped over the board and i landed on the fins while the nose of the board speared into the sand. Snapped the nose of my board too, lucky it was only about 2 foot that day. I will post pics whe...

6'3" x 19 3/4 x 2 1/2 PU Thruster with single to double concave and G-AM PC fins from Dave wood. I'm 6'3" tall, 90 kilos(which probably doesn't help my fcs fin plug problems huh Nick) and 32 years old. The board goes really good except for times like these when it's barely a 1ft and I'm stuck scaven...

Re: Which FCS?
Hey Nick thanks for the reply. A bit to think about there, those surffinz fins are interesting but I might spend more time playing around and tweaking them than surfing. I really haven't changed the type of fins I use for a while, but I keep busting the fcs plugs through the deck(from compression di...

Re: Which FCS?
Hi Capt,
Are the powerbase fins good, I miss the feeling of glassed in fins. I was looking at fcs origin but only 3 types of fins available with just small and medium sizes.
