Re: help me become a mal rider.

Hey Dinosaur, Looks like you and I had a similar summer with board choice. I have been surfing shortboards for over 15 years and decided to pick-up a 10'1 old school log to play around with when the waves are 1 to 2ft and weak. I've used it about 5 times in the last few weeks and gotta say it is gre...

Re: Packing List for Samoa

If you can carry em, then take em. You can never have too many boards. :D

Plenty of surf options for a fish.

Re: Packing List for Samoa

Sorry forgot to mention - take a 3 board quiver if you can. I took: 6'1 x 19 1/2 x 2 5/8 - Mackie Twin fin too play with and test in good solid waves; 6'3 x 18 3/4 x 2 1/2 - Hayden blackcat round tail 6'6 x 19 1/4 x 2 1/2 - Merrick MSG rounded pin (my bread and butter board for most of the trip) If ...

Re: Packing List for Samoa

I was there a few months before the earthquake disaster with my wife and 10 month old son and we didn't take any meds other than the very basics. Saying that we were staying at Sa'Moana surf camp and they have everything. Aganoa is more rustic from what I've heard so a travel first aid kit would be ...

Re: Drought breaker?

Yeah I took 2 of those set waves on the head further up the coast, great to get a good shake around and also managed to snag a few of the bigger ones. :D Wow I feel almost human again. :D

A bit more size than expected this morning too which was good but it was raw. Not complaining at all after the last 6 weeks.

Re: Josh Dowling Comsand

Hey Josh, Yeah been adding to the charity steadily but it'll be a few months yet. Finally got some decent sized waves this morning and I can say you can really feel those hips working on my backhand. Just seems easier to get vertical and the quad set gives me drive off the bottom. Loving the board m...

Re: Fiji for work

From Nadi you have access to the mamanuca islands which has loads of surf options. You'll need a boat to get access, places like Cloud Break (only surfable one day a week), Wilkes (next to Cloud break and can be really good but also crowded), so many breaks in the area so look up a surf guide to tak...

Fantastic looking boards Josh, and pretty cool to see glow in the dark fins. Gonna have to keep adding to the "New Board fund" to get my next one.

Re: Drought breaker?

Here's hoping barstardos. I got a surf further up the peninsula and was really surprised that it was smooth even though the wind got into it at around 6:30 and then a miracle happened - I got a wave over chest high

Re: widowmaker and bonzers

I have a Mackie rocket fish which is one of the fastest boards I've ridden, he is a great shaper. 17" that's a twig.

Beautiful boards: http://www.bonzer5.com

Check the photo's section.

Re: FCS Quads - What are you using ?

Thanks Mark and I honestly appreciate your opinion as a shaper and quad guru. Might go for a set by Shapers to test and play with first.

Thanks heaps.
