I'm assuming your using Windows..

Open jpeg in paintbrush, go to Image....'Stretch/Skew' and set the stretch values to say 25% each.

Save your jpg as another file. You'll end up with a smaller jpeg, in dimension and kb size. Modify till you get it right.......

what graphics program are you using?

What format is your original pic in - jpeg, gif, bmp?

It wasn't an epoxy, just a regular fibreglass jobby, but it did have a good thick glass job on it.

Whichever way you go Fireball, you'll have fun....and that's the main thing.
