I'm a big fella and I like to ride something that can handle me adequately....nice 'n wide, soft rails, with hips way back......I like to walk up the whole length smoothly, get in a cheater 5 before hangin' off the nose, then I like to walk it right back, way back to where my rather large fin is han...

Fireball I'd agree with Buzzy.... I ride a 7'6 Miller funboard, and come in at 100kg's and 1.83ms and I find the Miller fun to ride. However, I had a crack at a mates 7' Nugget at Crescent and it was getting on waves easier than my 7'6 and it was loads of fun - I personally wouldn't get bigger than ...

.....claiming exclusive access to one of the 2, or at best 3 banks just exacerbates an already bad situation of overcrowding. And bear in mind the council is charging you to park, so we are all paying to surf there. You can imagine why I think flagging off areas for a club contest is selfish and in...

......claiming exclusive access to a bank seems wrong for a club level contest. I've got mixed feelings on this one.....it does feel wrong to take a whole bank, but I've been thinking about it. In the following scenarios, which is better, assuming that there's more than one bank working on the beac...

Your on the money Buzzy I'd be in the 60% of kooks I reckon, but y'know, a kooks gotta learn. I try not to surf the crowded breaks, and when I do I try and give a few waves away each session to balance the scores a bit. But, I was on the wrong end of it about a month ago at North Steyne. I was on a ...

When I first came to Oz in 1991, I had the pleasure in working in one of the good old Aussie pubs in Camperdown. They played Chisel every night. Now, I come from a village not too far from the Brecon Beacons in Wales, so I was used to all the sheep shagging jokes, but I still couldn't get over the s...

Who in this forum is a member of a boardriders club? I'll admit that I am. I enjoy meeting people from the local area with a similar interest, and it gives me an opportunity to watch and learn from people who have better skills than myself. Just cos I wear a coloured jersey once a month doesn't mean...
