Re: what's your take on what'd work for this??
seems to me that you would have had a fair few similar boards over all your years of surfing iggy. Your just after an all-rounder by the looks. As has been alluded to already, your not really gonna learn anything new talking on the forums about it, especially cause its gonna be a pretty standard boa...

Re: Drugs E Africa “style’
Why Sth Africa when you could go to Ecuador or other Sth America countries and get cocaine for $5-10 a gram. Weed 5 bucks for about a quarter etc. Poor choice of country as an example I reckon. ps. according to the cocaine museum in Bolivia it cost the producers just $2 to produce 1 KILOGRAM of the ...

Re: FCS Quads - What are you using ?
For Indo I would suggest a Tri fin rather than a quad if you only have one choice. Get a rounded pin if you want more hold. Quads while fun can be very hit and miss. A tri fin is going to be more predicatable in those good waves and allow you to have better control over your board and the wave. The...

Re: Portugal looks the goods.
Sounds fcuking ridiculous Clif. Ive never heard the stereotypes of Portugal being that bad. Where the fcuk to locals ANYWHERE get off acting like that? Need some sense knocked into them I say. (not by me, not a fighter either). Stories like this sometimes make me wish i loved a good punch on. They d...

Re: How much does it cost to make you're own board?
I have a mate making his own boards for around 250 each. he never spent money on tools and doesnt do it properly, but the boards work. Although he doesn't bother with concaves (too hard to get right for a novice), so he sticks with flat bottoms. They go better than the concaves he has tried to make...

I know a few RealSurfers have stayed at Salani Surf Resort so you'll be happy to know that all staff and samoan staff have all been accounted for and are safe... The resort however is no longer... all guest fales, main fale and boat house gone. 2 grainy pictures on the Salani Surf Resort FaceBook p...

Re: 7S Superfish Feedback
Were they ever that much cheaper here Mark? I've got no idea as I'm not interested in a 7S, but I have been looking through a few board shops in Sydney of recent months and have been left agog ( ) at the prices being sought in the shops. Base prices for new boards seem to be at the upper en...

Re: NC at Longy on a Quad with flyer? Fri arvo
Jimi, I weigh 72 - 73KG While the board has no dimensions on it, it looks about 2 3/16. The board was shaped for Hayden himself and that is about what he rides. I would probably go 2 1/4 thick on it myself, however I personally don't like going much thicker in these types of boards than my standard...

Re: a different surfing perspective
I know what you mean marcus, I had the same sensation when switching from a booger. I think it is only on waves under about chest high that its really noticable though. First time I rode a standup on waist high waves I couldn't get over how wierd the view was, the wave seems tiny (and is tiny) but i...

Re: Today's Youth
The old nature vs nurture debate. I reckon it depends on which side of the family the kids take after. Theres also the complete opposites scenario where the out of control drop kick parents have conservative responsible kids or the gung ho sports nut has a son interested in flower arrangement. Yeah...
