If you say you have chest pains you get looked at pretty quick. When they find nothing wrong with your heart, you then tell them about your sore finger

Re: Whale washed up into newport beach pool

You might both have it wrong. Maybe dolphins are like eskimos and respect dead whales. Been lots of dolphins around here since the dead beast washed ashore Last week at dusk one was almost scaring me the way it was charging. Not playful like a pod the previous day. Wife reckons it was warning me of ...

Fcuk, boo, I knew what senescence was, but haiku has had me in the dictionary too. Not part of one, just reference to shit emanating from the mouths of some RSers :D Wolves of the sea is a great doco. Was blown away by the guy who puts it all on the line for a beach attack. If I'm correct, no orca h...

If it's the same shark, could it be an old and/or sick bugger? No nursing homes in the ocean. Easy prey items puts humans on the menu even if it would prefer something tastier and more nutritious

Re: Maldives surf trip...

Going the week before you mate. Flying out of Melb. 1 mate coming from WA and another from the UK. 9 days on the Hamathi and then 5 at Kandooma. 3 women coming who may get sick to death of the boat is the reasoning behind the resort at the end. Kandooma right is meant to be pretty good and they do b...

Re: Maldives surf trip...

I like 'em. Sure, if the forecast is not great I'm still going. But, being older, I will do my best to ease into it if the conditions are going to be better later. If it's going to be the best I get on day 1, then I'll wreck myself getting as many as I can. If it's forecast to be big and good at any...

Reasonably competent but can kook it anytime, anywhere and in any type of surf I've always enjoyed my surfing, but this has really got me amped to get in the water. I've sur...

And it's probably too early in the morn for the military to be testing guns. They still do that there Hatchy? 1st shot would always startle me. After that you could see the smoke from the gun before you'd hear it. Sometimes they'd have floating wooden targets that would wash up smashed to pieces alo...

A vote for me, is a vote for cocaine fuelled bunga bunga parties. Can I withdraw my vote for and, and recast it for Braithy? P.S. Fong, please get you arse over to shitty business ideas. I'd like to know what you think. Perhaps we could form a business partnership to establish a travel agency empha...

You might consider letting the nominations run for another week.

Re: Where did you surf today ?

Smallish on the w'end but a couple of swell magnets for 3-4 foot both days. Sat - good sandbank with reef base. Only thing wrong it was a right and for a goofy I've been getting way to many of them recently. Sunday cranking lefts. Top to bottom. Shared it with 2 guys for 1/2 an hour and then had it ...

Re: Reckon its possible to over surf?

Braithy has become a southerner. Take it when you can for as long as you can I also hate daylight savings, but this is a relatively recent thing. My work life balance until a couple of years ago mostly allowed me to get in the water whenever I wanted. The clock wasn't much of an issue so long as I g...
