Wow - so he shapes and sands the solid timber blank, or am I missing something?
Bet these cost a bit.

Re: Single Fin Nugget - fin selection?
I've got a 6'0 eggy/mini mini mal type thing and I use a 8" fin almost all the way back. It's drivey and carvey like this and you can step way forward for trim speed and it holds really well. Although my board has a pretty wide tail.

Re: New years quiver cull!!
Hey JaM71 - I'm south of sydney - so not easy to get a board to the goldy.
Anyhoo - Still not entirely sure I want to sell the fish - had two very nice little surfs on it the last few days.
Hey Beery - did ya get rid of your middies?

Re: Mini Simmons
That bottom one looks classy! I now officially have a 5'1 Dim Sim for sale - it's not quite enough beef for my 6'0 77kg frame in smaller waves. Someone shorter or maybe a little bit lighter should be fine. It's goes ballistic on waves with push....but thats not really why I want one. It's batoes old...

Re: Surfboard design & eye injuries
I have a question. What would cause more injuries? Sharp surfboard noses or fins? Two fin incidents where I have met the victims resulted in a lost testicle and a torn sphincter respectively. Both at the same beach, both involved getting high lined inside a 3' barrel and falling onto the center fin...

Re: Surfboard design & eye injuries
I only have one good eye, the other one is artificial. Probably shouldn't have read the article. And i am definately never surfing with mkm :| :? :( Remember people - it's all fun and games until someone loses an eye (but then it is still fun and games....just with a slight loss of depth perception)...

Re: Mini Simmons
stoked its gone to a good home...enuff foam for you ? 8) Ha - not entirely sure actually :D . I thought the traveller had a teeny tiny bit too much float for me, but this one is maybe a bit under. It doesn't glide on flat water as good as the traveller, so paddle outs are certainly a bit more effor...

Re: 2+1 boards
I've got two. A 6'0 fat, flat, boxy and wide bear wombat. ....and a 6'2 NPJ with glass in fins - it's like a slightly wider shorty (19 1/4 I thnk), but still with heaps low rails. To me they feel like they have heaps more Instant speed and a real solid feeling - by that I mean you They go great - in...

Re: Mini Simmons
I just bought batoes dim sim :D ))(( Farkin fun this morning - Little waist high reef peelers sometimes tending towards close outs. I had the big wooden fins in and it held and went like a freaking rocket down the line. Couldn't really turn the farker off the top, or bottom properly - certain...

Re: Who still rides a fish?
I love my 5'9 mackie 70's style fish - so damn fast and fun and free. It can be a challenge in bumpy waves though.
That one on the website looks unbeleivably awesome! My next one will be a sidecut like that I reckon.

Re: Boardies guide
Boardies are a ripoff, but good ones are worth their weight in gold. I 've got a pair of Oneill superfreaks for about $50bbucks on sale about 3 years ago that are still super soft and comfy and look like they will go another 3 years easy. Got given some ripcurl mirages 18months ago, whilst they are ...
